Rhythm and Hues and Jambando - Sonar announces a new concept in concerts, combining local art with music with the new show series called "Rhythm and Hues". Sonar has partnered with the great artists of Orlando, who have agreed to decorate the walls with beautiful artwork while Sonar performs. This is a unique opportunity to mingle with local artists, and view artwork while dancing to the music. Please come out and join this monthly event held at Tanqueray's in downtown Orlando. Next up, Sonar returns to the legendary Hard Rock Live located at Universal CityWalk for another incarnation of Jambando on Friday, August 3rd. We're Back! - After some time away from playing, Sonar is back for more with some new shows to announce. The month of December will see the band back on stage at some of its favorite venues, and will culminate with a special New Years performance at the Second Annual Camp Jam Muisc Festival. This year, the festival will move to a new location in Lachoochee, FL, about 50 miles west of Orlando, and will feature 3 stages and 30 bands. Stay tuned for details on band lineup and schedule. Other shows will be announced soon, but get ready for a christmas run of shows to get your holiday Sonar fix.
And Then It Exploded available from Apple's iTunes - Sonar's debut album has gone Digital! We are pleased to announce that Sonar has joined forces with the one and only iTunes for the digital release of And Then It Exploded. For you iPod fanatics, you can now puchase the entire album for $9.99 or single tracks for $.99 each. Included with the album purhcase is the cover art, for iPods that display album artwork. Sonar Dates Added - Sonar will making a special appearance this Friday, June 23rd for a performance at The Copper Rocket Pub in Maitland. This will mark the final show with Sonar's latest addition on bass, Dean Perry. Dean will be leaving the group and heading north to Washington, DC. Sonar wishes him the best of luck in his new endeavors, and thanks him his dedication while he was with the group. He will be missed. South Florida Dates Announced - Sonar will be returning to South Florida in June for a run of shows in Miami. On Saturday, June 3rd, Sonar will team up with the South Florida Jamband Showcase for a headlining show at Miami's Scrap Bar, located in beautiful Miami Beach. Sonar will be joined by Fort Lauderdale's SOSOS, who will be opening the show. For more information including Venue location, please visit the tourdates page. 2006 Florida Music Festival - Fresh from our first East Coast Tour, Sonar has been selected to perform at this year's Florida Music Festival, a 3 day festival and conference located in downtown Orlando. Sonar will be performing on Thursday, May 18th, for a 2 hour slot to close out the first night of shows. Many other great acts will be performing over the 3 days, including Mofro, Third Eye Blind, Shak Nasti, and The Burnin' Smyrnans. And Then It Exploded Tour Info - Sonar's spring tour to support the debut release of 'And Then It Exploded has been confirmed! Sonar will embark on a 2 week tour of the East Coast highlighted by stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, DC. The tour kicks off in the Southeast hotspot in Atlanta, for a 3 night run including stops at legendary rooms Jake's Toadhouse and Smith's Olde Bar. Sonar will wind through North Carolina and make a stop in New York City at The Lion's Den, on the way north to Burlington, VT for a show at famed Nectar's. Sonar opening for Rusted Root- This just in from Team Sonar! Sonar will be making a very special appearance this Saturday, October 29th, 2005 at the House of Blues Orlando with Rusted Root. Rusted Root, hailing from Pittsburgh, PA have a devoted following and it is an honor to be sharing the stage with them. Tickets are $20 in advance and are available from HOB.com. Strangers Helping Strangers Benefit - Hello
everyone! Just wanted to remind you all of the Hurricane Benefit
show coming up on October 15th at Ryan's Portside Grill in
Cape Canaveral. Showcasing many of Florida's talented bands,
this event will have a ton of great music for a great cause.
Please make every effort to attend as the people we are helping
are in dire need of any assistance they can get. Big thanks
goes out to Dale and James from Funknjam Productions for pulling
this great lineup and event together for the Hurricane Victims.

Sonar with JSDN- This just in from Team Sonar!
Sonar will be making a very special apperance on October 20th
at Slingapour's with Johnny
Sketch and the Dirty Notes from New Orleans! This looks
to be an incredible show that should not be missed. JSDN bring
the New Orleans Funk and they bring it hard. Also joining
us on stage will be our great friends, The
Burnin' Smyrnans, who will undoubtedly get you dancing
to their reggae groove. Please join us in downtown Orlando
for a night of drinking and dancing. Oh yeah, did we mention
it was Martini Fest?? Be sure to find a DD cause this night

New Audio Up- There is new audio available
on the audio page. The recent show that Sonar performed with
comedian Michael Winslow of Police Academy and Spaceballs
fame is available for download. Tracks include the previously
unreleased Four Fingers, along with band favorites Disguise,
Dirty Feet, and Round & Round. Another noteable highlight
is a spirited rendition of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love
featuring Michael Winslow on vocals and sound effects. Enjoy!
Also, this weekend Sonar will be performing again at Wall
Street Plaza on Friday. Saturday will find the band back downtown
for a Hurricane Benefit show, which is sponsored by the local
restaurants and bars along with the City of Orlando. Please
make an effort to get out and support the worthy cause of
rebuilding the devastated areas of the Gulf Coast. The show
runs from 5-10pm and Sonar will be headlining beginning at
8:30. See you there!
Hurricane Katrina Benefit Show- Sonar will
be performing a very special show this Sunday, September 4th,
at the Blue Room in downtown Orlando to help aid the relief
effort in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricane
Katrina. We are deeply impacted by the events that have unfolded
over the past few days and want to help out in any way that
we can. We are raising money to help the Red Cross and the
victims that are trapped in one of the most unique and beautiful
cities in the United States. The "Big Easy" is home
to the birth of American Music and anything that can be done
to help prevent the loss of this huge piece of our heritage
needs to happen. So please come out and donate $5 for a night
of great music and help support the effort to rebuild. We
will be performing with our good friends Big
Meat and Bluelegs,
and will also involve O-Rock

Summer Break - Well, as summer rolls in Sonar
is rolling into the studio! That's right, Sonar is recording
tracks this summer for an upcoming release on their own label,
Versatone Records. Tracking sessions began in early July and
as such, Sonar will be performing only a single show this
summer, at the legendary Hard
Rock Live in Orlando on Friday, July 29th. At this Jambando
event, Sonar will be supported by Cadillac
Recipe, Sonic
Playground, and the Kilwein
Family Tree-O. The venue doors open at 8pm and the show
will begin promptly at 8:30. Free tickets are available from
Sonarmuzak.com, or $6 at the venue box office. To send in

4th of July Weekend - Celebrate your Independence
Day weekend with Sonar. The band will be performing both Saturday
and Sunday this weekend, for 2 special shows in Downtown Orlando.
On Saturday, join the group as they rock the outdoor stage
at Wall Street Plaza for Rock The Block. This has quickly
become one of the band's favorite venues, and the energy level
continues to rise with each show. So come out and party the
night through with us. And then on Sunday, there will be a
special intimate performance at downtown's Tanqueray's, for
a special videotaped performance for Brighthouse Network's
Bootleg TV. Sonar plays at 11pm.
