ORLANDO , FL , October 29, 2004 ? Students at the University of Central Florida have partnered with Kate O'Brien's Irish Pub and Restaurant to hold a charity concert to raise funds for The Russell Home for Atypical Children. The charity concert will take place on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 9:00 p.m. at Kate O'Brien's Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 42 West Central Boulevard , Orlando , Florida 32801 . Prominent local bands, including Sonar, noble Jones and CheckPoint 8, will perform that evening, lending their talents and energy to this cause. Admission to the concert is $5.00, with all proceeds from the ticket sales to be donated to The Russell Home for Atypical Children.
A silent auction and raffle will also be held, with raffle tickets being sold during the concert for $1.00. The silent auction will feature various items donated by organizations within the Orlando community, including items donated by the Orlando Magic. The silent auction will begin at 9:00 p.m. and end at 12:00 a.m. All proceeds from the silent auction and raffle ticket sales will also be donated to the Russell Home .
The Russell Home is a non-profit organization that provides a broad spectrum of services to atypical children and their families in order to achieve a level of comfort and well-being. Along with all services they provide, most importantly, a family life, love and kindness to all. The Russell Home is funded solely by contributions and donations from people and organization within the community. All funds received by the Russell Home are used directly for the care and benefit of the children that reside at the home.
